For first timers:
If you are going to Ibiza for the first time here is some useful information that hopefully will help you have a better and more joyful trip.

The main holiday season runs from the beginning of May to the end of October. Ibiza is a stunning Mediterranean island, part of the Spanish Balearic Islands, which include Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera. Ibiza is known for its natural beauty and its incredible, world-famous nightlife. Ibiza attracts people from all over the world with visitors from all over Europe, the United States, Russia and Australia for example.

Ibiza has a very mild climate and mostly sunny weather. The island starts to get warmer from May and August is the hottest month, when temperatures go above 30º C. It is also when the island is at its busiest. In winter daytime temperatures go down to only around 15º C. Although Ibiza is a small island there are many beautiful areas, but the prime tourist towns are Playa D’en Bossa, San Antonio, Ibiza Town, San Rafael. These towns also hold many of the islands biggest super-clubs which Ibiza is famed for, so here is a breakdown of each.

Playa D’en Bossa: Located on the East of the island, not far from the airport sits the international resort of Playa D’en Bossa. On the main strip you will find an array of options for bars and restaurants mixed with larger clubs. It also as has the longest beach, which is popular due to its parties and beaut views! Travel to Playa d’en Bossa from San Antonio will take approximately 30 minutes in a taxi (around 30€) or slightly longer on the bus (from 3.50€).

Bossa plays home to a few big super clubs all within close distance to one and other! Located right by the airport you will find the long standing DC-10. Moving more towards the centre of Bossa you will find the Hard Rock Hotel, Ushuaia and Hï (the old SPACE) all next door to each other right by the waterfront. San Antonio: ‘San An’ as it is more commonly referred to, home to the notorious west-end and the stunning sunset strip. The sunset strip with its picturesque backdrop for that perfect squad sunset cover photo to the west-ends offering of cheap drinks deals; think sipping fish bowls with your entourage.

Boasting 5 venues for day or night partying there is a party around every corner pretty much. Benimussa Park (the abandoned zoo) sits just on the outskirts of San An, jump in a taxi (around 10€) and get your animal on. Ocean Beach is more central sitting by the waterfront, our advice is hop in a taxi for a small 8€ and you will be there in minutes. Others clubs such as Eden and Es Paradis are accessible on foot located in the heart of San An by the Ibiza Rocks Bar (yes, the home of those famous chicken pittas) right by the waterfront. Ibiza Town: North of Playa d’en Bossa you will find the stunning Ibiza Town which has a beautiful historic and upmarket feel. It is also home to the beautiful Marina where you are frequented with bars and restaurants. The Dalt Vila offers views for days and is a cultural dip into Ibiza’s heritage for those opting for something a bit different during the day. Taxi and bus options are also available to travel to Ibiza Town with a taxi taking around 20 minutes (around 25€) or the bus (3.50€).
Ibiza Town has some of the more up-market options of clubbing and dinning but one of the most popular is Pacha! Sitting a few streets back from the stunning harbour, you can either head to a bar before hand for some pre-drinks or straight to the club. IBIZA TOWN COMPLETE PARTIER'S GUIDE

San Rafael: As Ibiza is a clubbing haven and San Rafael is a big player, although it is not a major tourist area it boasts two of biggest clubs. Located opposite each other, Amnesia and Privelege both sit in the middle of the island making them easy enough to reach (about 20€) taxi ride or you can hop on the notorious disco bus (generally 3.50€) .

Get dressed up, throw some glitter on and head over to one of the longest standing clubs on the island and party the night away till dawn! Wise advice.. comfort is key when dancing till the early hours, flats all the way!

Santa Eulalia: Santa Eulalia Ibiza is the third largest resort on the island and is situated on the east side of Ibiza.
It is a beloved destination for families and those looking for a quieter slower paced holiday than the other major resorts.
Santa Eulalia has everything you could wish for from a holiday from great beaches, gourmet eateries and plenty to do around and near the resort.
Partier's guide to Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza
Home to Ibiza’s longest beach, Playa d’en Bossa Ibiza attracts an international crowd from all walks of life with hotels and venues catering for the uber rich to the more modest budgets and everything in between.
Situated only 10 minutes from the airport and Ibiza Town it is ideally located so you can experience a little bit of everything Ibiza has to offer.
It is also known as a clubbers paradise with several major daytime and nighttime venues hosting top name DJ’s each week across the summer.

Beach
The beach is the main focus of the resort with sunbeds, parasols and bali beds situated along its length stretching down to the water’s edge.
The bars, hotels and beach clubs which adorn its length are on hand to serve you drinks and food all day long so you can relax by the water’s edge with relaxed tuneful beats from the DJ’s drifting on the breeze. Places to check out include beach lounge bars Nassau, Lips Reartes and Beachouse Ibiza for a taste of paradise and perfection.
Watersports are a natural pastime here and on hand are pedalos, stand up paddle boarding and jet skis as well as the fun of the banana boats and diving excursions which are readily available.
There is also a waterpark, Aguamar, which makes for a great afternoon out with a variety of slides suitable for all ages with changing rooms, showers, snack bar and sun beds for those who are happy to relax while other go off having fun.

Restaurants
From the very elegant and unique lab of Paco Roncero situated in the Hard Rock Hotel to much more budget orientated snack bars to the relaxed and chilled out beach clubs you will find your taste and budget well catered for.

Shopping
Away from the beach there is a large area for shopping. Find yourself the latest beachwear or named brands or grab a snack from the many supermarkets before heading back to the beach.

Clubbing/ Nightlife
Playa D’en Bossa is a clubbers paradise which is home to the daytime venues of Ushuaia and Bora Bora Beach Club. For the evening the replacement to Space, Hi Ibiza will open their doors in the summer of 2017 and of course there is UK brand Sankeys which a very popular nightspot with people from across Europe.
Added to this Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege being only 10 minutes away by taxi or slightly longer by the Disco Bus this is a great place for clubbers to stay.
Away from the major venues there are numerous sports bars to lounge style venues. Whether you want a relaxed hideaway or an outrageous party place it can be found within a short walk in Playa D’en Bossa.

Accommodation
From the 5 star resorts of Ushuaia Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel or if you fancy something smaller and more intimate try the stylish Santos Ibiza Coast Suites.
If saving money for clubbing rather than sleeping is important, there’s also a great choice of economically priced apartments, some of the best are the very popular Sal Rossa, the budget Bora Bora or the famous Jet Ibiza Apartments.
Partier's guide to San Antonio, Ibiza
Located in the south west of the island San Antonio Bay Ibiza is an extension of San Antonio which wraps around the opposite coast to the main town.
It is a predominantly tourist area with several beaches along its length, a variety of restaurants and bars as well an abundance of accommodation.
San Antonio Bay makes a great place to stay with everything on hand to make a lovely holiday but also within easy reach of San Antonio town, offering links to the rest of the island.

Beaches
With 5 beaches in total across San Antonio Bay this is a popular evening walk along the coastal path, be it the whole length or just part way stopping off at the beach bars for refreshments.
The beaches are Es Puet made up of fine golden sand with shallow waters perfect for children to play in. Round the headland is Playa S’estanyol which is made up of two coves both with sandy beaches and shallow waters.

Moving on you will reach Playa Pinet where you can catch the ferry to and from the main town of San Antonio and it has soft sand and has watersports on offer. The last beach is Playa Xinxo (also known as Playa Bella or Cala de Bou) the golden sand faces inland and is very sheltered and perfect for relaxing on.
A few steps on further round the coast is a small beach where the famous Kumharas sunset bar and restaurant is located – simply a must do for anyone staying in San Antonio Bay.
At the far western end of the resort is Port d’es Torrent which sits just out of San Antonio Bay. This is a beautiful deep water inlet with a large beach with gentle slopping shore perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Restaurants / nightlife
There are an abundance of restaurants throughout San Antonio Bay to suit all tastes and we highly recommend Relish Bar and restaurant overlooking Playa Xinxo. With a host of bars offering live music and DJ playing you will never go short of evening entertainment in San Antonio Bay.
For those who want to experience a little more San Antonio Bay is only a short ferry, bus or taxi ride from the super clubs Es Paradis and Eden or daytime venue Ocean Beach.

Things to do
Away from the beaches which offer water sports in abundance there are a lot of attractions for children of all ages mini-golf, rodeo, bouncy-castles and play parks.
Further along the coast is the resort of Seaview Country Club with a waterpark suitable for those up to 12 years of age which allows day guests.
You can also hop on a ferry to the main town of San Antonio which provides great transport links to other areas of the island and activities a plenty.

Accommodation
From the adults only Beach Star Ibiza or the new refurbished Sol House mixed by Ibiza Rocks with its fabulous sunset roof terrace, San Antonio Bay has accommodation of all types for all budgets with many having sea views as well as being close to the shoreline.
Partier's guide to Ibiza Town
Ibiza Town (Evissa) is the Capital of the island and is largest town in Ibiza. It’s dominated by the fortified citadel Dalt Vila which overlooks the town. Located in the south-west of the island it is a true cosmopolitan location loved by people from around the world.
The town itself is split into three distinctive areas, the Old Town which is made up of winding narrow streets incorporating Dalt Vila. Packed with bars, restaurants and boutiques as well as steeped in history (having been built by the Phoenicians some 2500 years ago, then inhabited by the Moors, Carthaginians and Romans at one stage or another} the Old Town is an unexpected cultural break from the excesses of Ibiza.
The Modern Town sits on the flat expanse around the old town with plazas like Vara de Rey with its beautiful town houses dating back to the beginning of the last century and the neighbouring Plaza del Parque, great for people watching with its collection of bars on one side and quality restaurants on the other.
This is also where the majority of the shopping areas are located with big name brands as well as small designer boutiques nestled alongside restaurants and bars. You will certainly never be short of shopping or eateries in Ibiza Town.
The last area of the town is the Marina which sits opposite the Old Town and is the latests hip and trendy place to be and be seen. You will find a fantastic range of restaurants with stunning views across the harbour towards the old town, bars and boutiques.
Ibiza Town is the busy bustling hub of the island all year round and offers a little something for everyone.

Beaches
There are no actual beaches situated in Ibiza Town but after a short 15-minute walk you will find Figueretas. Or alternatively you can catch a short ferry ride to the the lovely bay of Talamanca with its long stretch of sand.
Playa d’en Bossa is also only a short bus or taxi ride away and then you will be on the longest beach on the island which is dotted with lively beach bars and clubs. It is also home to Ushuaia, Sankeys and the replacement for Space – Hi Ibiza.

Culture
Ibiza as an island is full of rich history and in Ibiza Town you can find the Archaeological Museum to send you back in time with many historical treasures from the various necropolis sites across the island.
The Baluard de Sant Jaume at Ronda Calvi in the western part of the city wall of Dalt Vila, also known as the “Bulwark of Jakobus”, contains original Sixteenth and Eighteenth Century military technology with replica weapons and armoury; you can even try on the armour to see how heavy it is.
You will be amazed at the number of public museums and privately run art galleries there are on Ibiza. Although when you look back on its past as a haven for dissidents and artists in the Twentieth Century, it makes a lot of sense.
The brilliantly curated Contemporary Art Museum features local and international talent and the historic Puget Museum displays photographs and paintings from Ibiza’s past. The art gallery Lune Rouge created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté brings works from some of the leading modern artists in the world.

Nightlife
With its world famous night clubs like Pacha, Heart and celebrity favourite, Lío, on its doorstep, Ibiza Town is not short of nightlife.
Take a wander along the port area of the Old Town where you will find a host of bars and truly unique venues and hotspots or venture into the narrow streets to the gay-orientated Calle de la Virgen.
The inappropriately-named street of the virgin is a must see whatever your inclination. Hippie chic boutiques, fetish shops, cool restaurants and music bars line the street.

Accommodation
You can stay in the heart of Ibiza Town in various hotels from the stylish Hotel da Pacha or the oldest and newly refurbished Gran Hotel Montesol to a wide range of apartments and hotels for all budgets.
If you want the best of both worlds opt for Figueretas or Talamanca which are close to the beach but within walking distance of the main town.
Partier's guide to Santa Eulalia
Beaches
Beneath the recently constructed promenade is the main beach of Santa Eulalia which is a long, wide beach of fine white sand. The waters are clean and shallow, safe for children and very inviting for those less confident swimmers.
The beach has been entirely smoke-free, since 2015, in bid to keep the sands pristine for all who visit and use it. There are excellent watersports facilities and boat trips available from the nearby marina.
At the southern end of Sant Eulalia is Mariner’s beach with fine, light-colored sand at the mouth of the only river of Ibiza. The seabed is shallow and safe for children and the water usually quiet.
​
At the river end there is a beautiful idyllic tiny harbour which is a meeting point for canoeists and sailors. A path leads along the riverbank to a small bridge, over which the small neighbouring resort of Siesta is reached.
Several beach restaurants line the promenade, which lead into the town centre and is only a 10 minute walk away.

The Marina
Along the promenade, you will find many restaurants and cafés suitable for every taste and budget as well as the the ferries which travel to the nearby beaches, the hippy market in Es Caná and Ibiza Town as well as day trips to Formentera.
Just around the corner is the impressive marina, which is greatly admired by the jet set throughout the Mediterranean. This stylish area has become a favourite for dining, shopping and is home to the laid back nightlife of the resort.

Restaurants
There are two main streets for eating out namely the tree lined Calle San Jaime which is the main street. It’s the daytime meeting place for coffee and conversation.
Backing on to San Jaime is Calle San Vicente, famous as the Street of Restaurants. Closed to traffic in the early evening, it is transformed into the living, breathing picture of an ideal Mediterranean scene.
Chairs and tables, laughing promenaders and diners, lights, music and strolling musicians appear, giving this picturesque street an intoxicating fiesta atmosphere.
There are also an abundance of restaurants, cafe and bars around the marina and along the promenade.

Shopping and Hippy Markets
The recently renovated town centre is a true hive of shops offering souvenirs, boutiques, jewellery, swimwear and shoes. A shopaholic will be in seventh heaven wandering through the tree lined streets.
The area is also home to the two largest hippy markets in Ibiza at Punta Arabia at Es Cana which is held on Wednesdays and Las Dalias hippy market held on Saturdays throughout the year and on Monday evenings during the summer months. Both offer are a riot of colourful stalls, with handcrafted goods.
​
Activities
Being a beachside resort there are a lot of water based activities but for those who wish to stay dry check out Acrobosc Ibiza adventure park which is set in an area of pine trees just behind Cala Pada beach. There are three circuits you can follow, according to your height and age, putting your balance and skills to challenge. Thirty-nine platforms between 2 and 6m high, 49 obstacles and 20 zip lines from 4 to 65m length and trampolines will guarantee every one of all ages has a fantastic time.
You can also take the tourist train on a tour of the local area. The tours winds 15 km through beautiful countryside taking you to various attractions and sandy beaches along its route.
Another highlight of the area is the 16th Century church Puig de Missa with its impressive Moorish style architecture.
The church is surrounded by a small village and accessible by road and by foot. Although it is a steep walk and not for the faint hearted however the views more than make up for it.
